1And the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Let My people go, that they may serve Me. 2And if you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs within all your borders. 3And the river shall teem with frogs, which shall come up and go into your house, and into your bedchamber, upon your bed, into the houses of your servants, on your people, into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs: 4And the frogs shall come up both on you, on your people, and on all your servants.”’” 5And the LORD said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your rod over the streams, the rivers, and the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.’” 6And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt. 7But the magicians did the same with their enchantments, and brought up more frogs upon the land of Egypt. 8Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron, and said, “Entreat the LORD, that He may take the frogs away from me, and my people; and I will let the people go to do sacrifice unto the LORD.” 9And Moses said to Pharaoh, “Tell me when you want me to pray for relief for you, your officials, and your people - to purge the frogs from you and your houses, so that they will remain only in the river.” 10And Pharaoh replied, “Tomorrow.” And Moses said, “Be it as you said – so that you may know that there is none like the LORD our God. 11The frogs shall depart from you, your houses, your officials, and your people; they shall remain only in the river.” 12And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses prayed to the LORD about the frogs which He had brought against Pharaoh. 13And the LORD did according to the prayer of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, the villages, and the fields. 14And they gathered them into huge heaps: and the land stank. 15But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and would not listen to them; as the LORD had said.

16And the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, so that it becomes lice throughout all the land of Egypt.’” 17And they did so; Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and struck the dust of the earth, and it became lice on man, and beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt. 18And the magicians tried to emulate that with their enchantments; but they could not; but even so, there were lice on man, and beast. 19Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God”; but still, Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them; as the LORD had said.

20And the LORD said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, as he comes out to the Nile; and tell him, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Let My people go, that they may serve Me. 21Or else, if you will not let My people go, I will send swarms of flies upon you, your officials, your people - into your houses; and the houses of the Egyptians – they shall be full of swarms of flies, and even the ground will be covered with them. 22And I will set apart on that day the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be there; so that you may know that I am the LORD in this land. 23And I will make a distinction between My people and your people. This sign shall occur tomorrow.”’” 24And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his officials' houses, and all the land of Egypt: the land was infested by the swarm of flies. 25And Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron, and said, “Go! Sacrifice to your God here in this land.” 26And Moses said, “That would not be proper to do so; for our sacrifices to the LORD our God would be an abomination of the Egyptians. And if we sacrifice things abominable to the Egyptians in their sight, will they not stone us? 27We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and there sacrifice to the LORD our God, as He commands us.” 28And Pharaoh said, “I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; but you shall not go very far away: now pray for me.” 29And Moses said, “When I go out from you, I will entreat the LORD, that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, his officials, and his people, tomorrow: but do not deal deceitfully any more, by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.” 30And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and entreated the LORD. 31And the LORD did according to the prayer of Moses; and He removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, his officials, and his people; not one fly remained. 32And Pharaoh hardened his heart this time, also; nor would he let the people go.
