1The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, 2“Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them, 3And say to the Ammonites, ‘Hear the word of the LORD God. “Thus says the LORD God: ‘Because you said, “Aha”, over the desecration of My Temple (sanctuary); and over the land of Israel, when it was laid waste; and over the people of Judah, when they went into captivity; 4I will give you to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set up their camps and pitch their tents in your land; eat your fruit, and drink your milk. 5And I will turn Rabbah into a pasture for camels, and the Ammonite land into a fold for flocks; and you shall know that I am the LORD. 6For thus says the LORD God: “Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped your feet, and rejoiced with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel, 7I will stretch out My hand against you, and will turn you over to be plundered by other nations; and I will cut you off from being a nation. I will destroy you; and you shall know that I am the LORD.”’”’

8“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: ‘Because Moab and Seir say, “Look, Judah is just like all the other nations”, 9I will expose the flank of Moab, beginning at its frontier towns - Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim - which are the glory of their land. 10I will give Moab, along with the Ammonites, to the people of the East as a possession, so that the Ammonites will not be remembered among the nations. 11And I will judge and inflict punishments upon Moab. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.

12‘Thus says the Sovereign LORD: “Because Edom has taken revenge against the people of Judah and has greatly offended by doing so, 13Thus says the Sovereign God: ‘I will also stretch out My hand against Edom, and will kill both man and beast; and I will make it desolate. From Teman to Dedan; men shall fall by the sword. 14And I will take My vengeance upon Edom by the hand of My people, Israel; and they shall deal with Edom in accordance with My anger; and Edom shall know it is My vengeance’, says the LORD God.

15‘Thus says the Sovereign LORD: “Because the Philistines have acted with vengeance and malice to destroy Judah, out of ancient hostility, 16This is what the Sovereign LORD says: ‘I will raise My hand against the Philistines, and I will wipe out the Kerethites, and utterly destroy those that remain along the seacoast. 17And I will punish them for what they have done; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when they have known My revenge.’”’”’”
