1And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 2“Every man of the Israelites shall camp by his own standard, with the banner of their father's house: some distance from the tabernacle of meeting.

3“And on the east side shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah camp throughout their armies: and Nahshon, son of Amminadab, shall be leader of the descendants of Judah.” 4And his army, and those that were numbered of them, were seventy-four thousand, six hundred. 5“And those that camp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethanel, son of Zuar, shall be leader of the descendants of Issachar.” 6And those that were numbered of them, were fifty-four thousand, four hundred. 7“Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab, son of Helon, shall be leader of the descendants of Zebulun.” 8And those that were numbered of them, were fifty-seven thousand, four hundred. 9All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were a hundred eighty-six thousand, four hundred, throughout their armies. “These shall set forth first.

10“On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the head of the descendants of Reuben shall be Elizur, son of Shedeur,” 11And those that were numbered of them, were forty-six thousand, five hundred. 12 “And those who camp by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the head of the descendants of Simeon shall be Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai.” 13And those that were numbered of them, were fifty-nine thousand, three hundred. 14“Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph, son of Reuel.” 15And those that were numbered of them, were forty-five thousand, six hundred fifty. 16All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were a hundred fifty-one thousand, four hundred fifty, throughout their armies. “And they shall set forth in the second rank.

17“Then the tabernacle of meeting shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camp: as they camp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.

18“On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama, son of Ammihud.” 19And those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand, five hundred. 20“And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the head of the descendants of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur.” 21And those that were numbered of them, were thirty-two thousand, two hundred. 22“Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan, son of Gideoni.” 23And those that were numbered of them, were thirty-five thousand, four hundred. 24All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were a hundred eight thousand, one hundred, throughout their armies. “And they shall go forward in the third rank.

25“The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: and the head of the descendants of Dan shall be Ahiezer, son of Ammishaddai.” 26And those that were numbered of them, were sixty- two thousand, seven hundred. 27“And those that camp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the head of the descendants of Asher shall be Pagiel, son of Ochran.” 28And those that were numbered of them, were forty-one thousand, five hundred. 29“Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the head of the descendants of Naphtali shall be Ahira, son of Enan.” 30And those that were numbered of them, were fifty-three thousand, four hundred. 31All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were a hundred fifty-seven thousand, six hundred. “They shall go last with their standards.”

32These are those who were numbered of the Israelites by the house of their fathers: all that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred three thousand, five hundred fifty. 33But the Levites were not numbered among the Israelites; as the LORD commanded Moses. 34And the Israelites did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: and so they camped by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.
