Psalm 11
Reader-Friendly Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1I put my trust in the LORD; how then can you say to my soul, ‘Flee like a bird to your mountain for safety’? 2For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they fit their arrow upon the string, that they may shoot at the upright in heart from the shadows. 3When the foundations pf law and order are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4The LORD is in His holy Temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven; His eyes observe everyone on earth; He examines all men. 5The LORD examines both the righteous and the wicked; but those who love violence, His soul hates. 6Upon the wicked He shall rain fire and brimstone, and a scorching wind shall be their destiny. 7For the righteous LORD loves justice; the upright will see His face.
