A Psalm of David

1Unto You, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. 2O my God, I trust in You; please do not let me be disgraced, nor let my enemies triumph over me. 3Let no one who relies on You be disgraced; but rather, let the treacherous be humiliated. 4Teach me Your ways, O LORD; show me Your paths. 5Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on Whom I rely all day long. 6Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your loving-kindnesses; that You have shown forever. 7Please do not remember the sins or misdeeds of my youth; but remember me, O LORD, with mercy, for Your goodness' sake. 8Because the LORD is good and upright; He will teach sinners His ways. 9He will teach the meek and humble His ways of justice. 10All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth for those who obey His laws and abide by His covenant. 11Forgive my iniquity, though it is great, for Your name’s sake, O LORD. 12He will teach those who honor Him how to choose the right paths. 13They will prosper; and their children shall inherit the earth. 14The LORD gives His counsel to and reveals His covenant with those who fear and reverence Him. 15My eyes are always on the LORD; for He alone shall save me from my enemies’ traps. 16Turn and be merciful to me, for I am alone and in distress. 17The troubles of my heart have increased; please free me from my distress. 18Consider my affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. 19Also consider my many enemies that hate me with cruel hatred. 20O guard my soul, and save me; let me not be disappointed; for my only hope is in You. 21May integrity and honesty protect me, as I put my hope on You. 22Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
