A Psalm or Song of Asaph.

1God is renowned Judah is; His name is great in Israel. 2In Salem (Jerusalem) also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place is in Zion (Mount Zion). 3There He broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah. 4You are more glorious and excellent than the everlasting mountains, rich with game. 5The brave warriors are undone; they have slept the sleep of death, and not one of the men of might could lift his hands against us. 6At the sound of Your reprimand, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse lie stunned and still.

7You, alone, are to be feared; and who may stand before You, when once You are angry? 8You pronounced judgment from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, 9When God rose up to judge, and to save all the meek and oppressed of the earth. Selah. 10Surely even Your wrath against man shall bring You praise; and the survivors of Your wrath shall be restrained. 11Make vows unto the LORD your God; and fulfill them. Let all that are around Him bring presents to Him Who is to be reverenced and feared. 12He shall humble the spirit of princes; He is feared and regard with awe by the kings of the earth.
