Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Six ways in which God prepares good works for us to do. 1. In predestinating them (Romans 1:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Isaiah 54:16). 2. In His commandments He reveals them to us. The law of God rules them out before our eyes. 3. God has set us samples, both His own, and His children's. 4. God supplies us with the grace, which enables us to do this or that work. 5. He excites the will; for such is our dulness, that we must have our will raised by Him to will. 6. He preserves us; so that now willing we may work. (Paul Bayne.)
