Thinketh no Evil
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity braggs not itself, is not puffed up,…

That was a well-deserved rebuke given by a gentleman, whose wife said of a neighbour, "He is very kind to the poor, but it may be more for the sake of praise than doing good." To which the husband replied, "Look here, Mary, when you see the hands of our clock always right, you may be sure that there is not much wrong with the inside works." The tendency to sit in judgment upon each other's motives is a very common fault, especially among young people. It crops up more frequently n the freedom of home intercourse than anywhere else, consequently that is just in the place where its first manifestations should be nipped in the bud. The charity that "thinketh no evil" is a rare but most desirable possession.
