The Divine Appeal
Malachi 1:8
And if you offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil?…

I. THE APPEAL.

1. To the dictates of conscience.

2. To the usages of human life.

II. THE LESSONS THE APPEAL SUGGESTS.

1. We have all failed in the discharge of our duty to God.

2. Our failure in the discharge of our duty to God is incapable of defence.

3. We need a Saviour.

4. Our services can be accepted by God only through the mediation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(G. Brooks.)
