Leviticus 2:1-16
And when any will offer a meat offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it…

As I passed through a glade of trees upon a summer's day I heard the hum of bees. Ah! thought I, there is sweetness near! Presently I smelt the lime, the odour of the flowers which had attracted the bees. They did not stop at the other trees, but made direct for their favourite. What a bright little lesson, Christian, for us! Are we sought after because there is the savour of Christ in us, or are we passed by like the scentless trees?
