Parents are required to impart to their children the instruction or wisdom of the Lord Jesus. 2. Parents must subject their children to the discipline of the Lord Jesus. II. THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS DUTY. This may be proved from - 1. The state of prospects of the children themselves. 2. The circumstances and prospects of the Church of Christ. The hope of the Church in the future depends always upon the rising generation. 3. The state and necessities of the world at large. III.
