It is the Church's lot to be very desolate and orphan-like in the world. 2. God's compassion and the sweet manifestation thereof are especially reserved for His people's low condition and their greatest need. 3. The confidence of God's respect to His humble people, would be cherished by the needy and penitent, to encourage them to come to Him and call upon Him. 4.
