3. Spite of disobedience.

IV. THE FINAL TRANSFER OF HIS FAVOUR TO THE GENTILES.

I. HOW GOD DISCIPLINES A REBELLIOUS PEOPLE. He —

1. Instructs.

2. Warns.

3. Bears patiently.

4. At length transfers His favour to others, whom they despise.

II. HOW THIS APPLIES TO US. We have been —

1. Equally privileged.

2. Equally rebellious.

3. If Israel could not escape, how shall we?
