I. Reason saith He may come. Argue from —

1. the nature of God.

2. The providence of God.

3. The feelings of conscience.

4. Show the conveniency of such a day.

II. If doubtful to reason, 'tis sure to faith. Faith argueth —

1. From Christ's merit and purchase.

2. From Christ's affection to us.

3. From the affections of His saints to Him, which Christ will satisfy.

4. From the constitution of His Church.

5. From His promise.
