Proverbs 1:10-19 My son, if sinners entice you, consent you not.… By sinners is meant all persons who are not true Christians. Three reasons why we should not consent when sinners entice us: 1. Because when we begin to sin it is hard to stop. 2. Because it is dangerous. 3. Because it is disgraceful. (1) It is so in the looks it gives us. (2) It is so in the company into which it brings us.Two things we ought to do: 1. Get rid of the sins we have committed. 2. Try to keep from sinning any more.Said a boy to his sister one day, "I want the spirit to look sin right in the face when it comes to me, and say, 'Begone.'"
