"Where two or three," etc. It was a tender superstition which our fathers held — that to speak much of the absent or the dead brings them near. And the beautiful fiction becomes blessed fact, when we refer it to Jesus. He is the true Mentor whom Homer ignorantly celebrated. We have but to think of Jesus, talk of Jesus, wish for Jesus — and He is by our side. (A. A. Ramsey.)
