The creature is a dependent being; God alone is independent and self-existent. II. HIS UNCHANGEABLENESS. Change is written on everything earthly. The billows of a thousand generations may sweep over the rock, but it is steadfast. Jesus is "the same today, yesterday, and forever." III. HIS ALL-SUFFICIENCY.
