1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: This union is — I. MOST VITAL. "In Christ," not merely in His school, dispensation, character, but in Himself, as branches are in the vine. He is their life. II. DIVINELY FORMED. "Of Him" — Whom? God. It is the Eternal Spirit that brings the soul into vital connection with Christ. "My Father is the Husbandman." III. BLESSEDLY PRODUCTIVE. 1. Wisdom. 2. Righteousness. 3. Sanctification. 4. Redemption, come out of this union. What transcendent blessings are these! IV. EXULTINGLY ADORING (ver. 31). It inspires the highest worship. It causes the soul to triumph to God Himself. (D.
