Leviticus 11:2-47
Speak to the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which you shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.…


1. All the creatures good in themselves.

2. Of the provident care of God toward both the souls and bodies of men.

3. God no respecter of persons (ver. 3).

4. Of the difference of sins, and divers degrees of spiritual uncleanness.

5. The doctrine may be good, though the doctors and teachers are evil.

6. Holiness the end of the precepts of the law (ver. 44).

7. The virtue of the sacraments depends not on the worthiness of the minister.
