Very indignantly she replied, "It is nothing to you whether I am or not; besides, I would not speak about such a subject to any one but God!" In about a fortnight the evangelist was in another inquiry, meeting, and saw this same person speaking very earnestly to another woman. Drawing near to them, he heard her telling the stranger about her own conversion to Christ, and pressing the woman to follow Jesus at once. Much gratified, the evangelist, thinking to test her, said, "Madam, madam, keep your mouth shut on that subject!" "Keep my mouth shut!" she replied, with enthusiasm, "I cannot do it, sir; I must speak about Jesus."
