Luke 11:2
And he said to them, When you pray, say, Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done…


In the prayer our Lord taught His disciples, all the relationships in which we stand to God are taken up. The believer prays as —

I. A CHILD FROM HOME. "Our Father," &c.

II. A WORSHIPPER. "Hallowed," &c.

III. A SUBJECT. "Thy kingdom come."

IV. A SERVANT. "Thy will be done."

V. A BEGGAR. "Give us," &c.

VI. A DEBTOR. "And forgive us," etc.

VII. A SINNER AMID TEMPTATION AND EVIL. "And lead us not," &c.
