The voice of the LORD is powerful;

The God who spoke creation into being rules over all He has made. Psalm 29 portrays His voice as sovereign over the raging waters, forests, wilderness, and nations; no force of nature can resist His command. At Sinai, the Lord’s voice came with thunder and awe, revealing His holiness and authority to Israel. Jesus displayed that same divine authority when He rebuked the wind and sea, and creation obeyed Him.

God’s voice reveals the splendor of the King who reigns above the flood and sits enthroned forever. The heavenly worship described in Revelation anticipates the day when every creature will acknowledge the Lord’s reign and give Him glory.
