Good News Translation
Simon, together with his sons Mattathias and Judas, was visiting the towns in the area, in order to take care of their needs. They arrived in Jericho in the month of Shebat, the eleventh month, in the year 177.

New Revised Standard Version
Now Simon was visiting the towns of the country and attending to their needs, and he went down to Jericho with his sons Mattathias and Judas, in the one hundred seventy-seventh year, in the eleventh month, which is the month of Shebat.

Contemporary English Version
In the year 177 of the Syrian Kingdom, Simon was going from town to town in Judea, trying to help the people. Later that year during the month of Shebat, he and his sons Mattathias and Judas arrived in Jericho.
