Good News Translation
Instead, he will send you a prophet like me from among your own people, and you are to obey him.

The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you shall heed such a prophet.

Instead, he will choose one of your own people to be a prophet just like me, and you must do what that prophet says.
