Isaiah 35

1The wilderness and the desert shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom like a rose. 2It shall burst into bloom, and greatly rejoice with singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. 3Strengthen your weak hands, and firm up your feeble knees. 4Say to the fearful of heart, “Be strong, do not fear; for your God is coming to save you”. 5Then will the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf unplugged. 6Then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy; streams of water shall break out in the wilderness and in the desert. 7The burning sand shall become a pool, and springs of water shall satisfy the thirsty land; in the haunts where jackals once lay, grass with reeds and rushes shall be. 8And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called “The Way of Holiness”; the evil-minded shall not travel on it, but it shall only be for those who walk in God’s ways. 9No lion nor any predator shall be there; but the redeemed shall walk there: 10And those ransomed by the LORD shall return. They shall enter Zion with songs and everlasting joy will crown their heads; they shall be filled with gladness, and all sorrow and sighing shall be gone.
