Jesus Heals on the Sabbath
(Matthew 12:9–14; Luke 6:6–11)

1He came again into the synagogue, a man was there having a withered hand. 2And they were watching Him, if He will heal him on the Sabbath, that they might accuse Him. 3And He says to the man having a withered hand; Rise up in the midst. 4And He says to them; Is it lawful to do good or to do evil on the Sabbath; to save life, or to kill? And they were silent. 5And looking round on them with indignation, being grieved over the hardness of their hearts, He says to the man; Reach forth thy hand. And he reached it forth and it was restored. 6And the Pharisees, having gone out immediately along with the Herodians, took counsel against Him in order that they might kill Him.

Jesus Heals the Multitudes
(Matthew 4:23–25; Luke 6:17–19)

7And Jesus departed with His disciples to the sea: and a great multitude followed Him from Galilee, and from Judea, 8and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and from beyond the Jordan, and those about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing so many things that He was doing, came to Him. 9And He said to His disciples, that a little boat should wait on Him in order that they may not tread on Him. 10For He healed many; so that they were falling before Him so that they might touch Him, so many as had diseases. 11And unclean spirits, when they saw Him, fell down before Him, and were crying out, saying, Thou art the Son of God. 12And He charged them much that they should not make Him known.

The Twelve Apostles
(Matthew 10:1–4; Luke 6:12–16)

13And He goes up into the mountain, and calls whom He wished: and they went away to Him. 14And He made twelve (apostles) that they may be with Him and that He may send them out to preach, 15and to have power to heal diseases, and to cast out the demons. 16And He placed the name Peter on Simon; 17and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and on them He placed the names Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder: 18and Andrew and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, 19who also betrayed Him.

A House Divided
(Matthew 12:22–30; Luke 11:14–23)

20And He comes into a house; and the multitude come together again so they are not able to eat bread. 21And those along with Him hearing came out to arrest Him: for they continued to say, He is beside Himself. 22And the scribes having come down from Jerusalem were saving, He has Beelzebul and He is casting out the demons through the prince of the demons. 23And calling them to Him, He continued to speak to them in parables, How is Satan able to cast out Satan? 24And if a kingdom may be divided against itself, that kingdom is not able to stand, 25and if a house may be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand; 26and if Satan stand up against himself, and is divided, he is not able to stand, but has an end. 27No one is able, having entered into the house of a strong man, to spoil his goods, unless he may first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house.

The Unpardonable Sin
(Matthew 12:31–32)

28Truly I say unto you, that all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies whatsoever they may blaspheme: 29but whosoever may blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is subject of eternal condemnation. 30Because they were saying, He has an unclean spirit.

Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
(Matthew 12:46–50; Luke 8:19–21)

31And His mother and His brothers come; and standing without, sent to Him, calling Him. 32And the crowd was sitting round Him; and they say to Him, Behold thy mother and thy brothers without are seeking thee. 33And He responding to them, says, Who is my mother and my brothers? 34And looking round on His disciples sitting about Him in a circle, He says, Behold my mother and my brothers! 35For whosoever may do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and my mother.
