1O Yahweh, my heart is not exalted, and my eyes are not raised high;

And I do not [†]involve myself in great matters,

Or in matters too marvelous for me.

2Surely I have soothed and quieted my soul,

Like a weaned child with his mother,

Like a weaned child is my soul [†]within me.

3O Israel, wait for Yahweh

From now until forever.
