Bezalel constructed the altar of burnt offering from acacia wood. It was square, five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high. | 1He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood. Five cubits was its length, and five cubits its breadth. It was square, and three cubits was its height. |
He made a horn at each of its four corners, so that the horns and altar were of one piece, and he overlaid the altar with bronze. | 2He made horns for it on its four corners. Its horns were of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with bronze. |
He made all the altar’s utensils of bronze—its pots, shovels, sprinkling bowls, meat forks, and firepans. | 3And he made all the utensils of the altar, the pots, the shovels, the basins, the forks, and the fire pans. He made all its utensils of bronze. |
He made a grate of bronze mesh for the altar under its ledge, halfway up from the bottom. | 4And he made for the altar a grating, a network of bronze, under its ledge, extending halfway down. |
At the four corners of the bronze grate he cast four rings as holders for the poles. | 5He cast four rings on the four corners of the bronze grating as holders for the poles. |
And he made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze. | 6He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze. |
Then he inserted the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar for carrying it. He made the altar with boards so that it was hollow. | 7And he put the poles through the rings on the sides of the altar to carry it with them. He made it hollow, with boards. |
Next he made the bronze basin and its stand from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. | 8He made the basin of bronze and its stand of bronze, from the mirrors of the ministering women who ministered in the entrance of the tent of meeting. |
Then he constructed the courtyard. The south side of the courtyard was a hundred cubits long and had curtains of finely spun linen, | 9And he made the court. For the south side the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, a hundred cubits; |
with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and with silver hooks and bands on the posts. | 10their twenty pillars and their twenty bases were of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. |
The north side was also a hundred cubits long, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases. The hooks and bands of the posts were silver. | 11And for the north side there were hangings of a hundred cubits; their twenty pillars and their twenty bases were of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. |
The west side was fifty cubits long and had curtains, with ten posts and ten bases. The hooks and bands of the posts were silver. | 12And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their ten pillars, and their ten bases; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. |
And the east side, toward the sunrise, was also fifty cubits long. | 13And for the front to the east, fifty cubits. |
The curtains on one side of the entrance were fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases. | 14The hangings for one side of the gate were fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and three bases. |
And the curtains on the other side were also fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases as well. | 15And so for the other side. On both sides of the gate of the court were hangings of fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three bases. |
All the curtains around the courtyard were made of finely spun linen. | 16All the hangings around the court were of fine twined linen. |
The bases for the posts were bronze, the hooks and bands were silver, and the plating for the tops of the posts was silver. So all the posts of the courtyard were banded with silver. | 17And the bases for the pillars were of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. The overlaying of their capitals was also of silver, and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver. |
The curtain for the entrance to the courtyard was embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. It was twenty cubits long and, like the curtains of the courtyard, five cubits high, | 18And the screen for the gate of the court was embroidered with needlework in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. It was twenty cubits long and five cubits high in its breadth, corresponding to the hangings of the court. |
with four posts and four bronze bases. Their hooks were silver, as well as the bands and the plating of their tops. | 19And their pillars were four in number. Their four bases were of bronze, their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their capitals and their fillets of silver. |
All the tent pegs for the tabernacle and for the surrounding courtyard were bronze. | 20And all the pegs for the tabernacle and for the court all around were of bronze. |

Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made everything that the LORD had commanded Moses. | 22Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded Moses; |
