| 2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is transformed and the mountains are toppled into the depths of the seas, | 2So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. |
| 3though their waters roar and foam and the mountains quake in the surge. Selah | 3Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude |
| 4There is a river whose streams delight the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. | 4A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High. |
