| 1O LORD, in your strength the king rejoices, and in your salvation how greatly he exults! | 1How the king rejoices in your strength, O LORD! He shouts with joy because you give him victory. |

| 3For you meet him with rich blessings; you set a crown of fine gold upon his head. | 3You welcomed him back with success and prosperity. You placed a crown of finest gold on his head. |
| 4He asked life of you; you gave it to him, length of days forever and ever. | 4He asked you to preserve his life, and you granted his request. The days of his life stretch on forever. |
| 5His glory is great through your salvation; splendor and majesty you bestow on him. | 5Your victory brings him great honor, and you have clothed him with splendor and majesty. |
| 6For you make him most blessed forever; you make him glad with the joy of your presence. | 6You have endowed him with eternal blessings and given him the joy of your presence. |
| 7For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the steadfast love of the Most High he shall not be moved. | 7For the king trusts in the LORD. The unfailing love of the Most High will keep him from stumbling. |

| 10You will destroy their descendants from the earth, and their offspring from among the children of man. | 10You will wipe their children from the face of the earth; they will never have descendants. |
| 11Though they plan evil against you, though they devise mischief, they will not succeed. | 11Although they plot against you, their evil schemes will never succeed. |
| 12For you will put them to flight; you will aim at their faces with your bows. | 12For they will turn and run when they see your arrows aimed at them. |
| 13Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. | 13Rise up, O LORD, in all your power. With music and singing we celebrate your mighty acts. |
