International Standard VersionHolman Christian Standard Bible
"When a person brings an offering—that is, a grain offering—to the LORD, his offering is to consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil mixed with frankincense over it. 1When anyone presents a grain offering as a gift to the LORD, his gift must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put frankincense on it,
Then he is to bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests. He is to take a handful of fine flour, the olive oil, and all of the frankincense. Then the priest is to offer a memorial offering by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. 2and bring it to Aaron's sons the priests. The priest will take a handful of fine flour and oil from it, along with all its frankincense, and will burn this memorial portion of it on the altar, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
The remnants from the grain offering is for Aaron and his sons—the holiest of the offerings made by fire to the LORD."3But the rest of the grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons; it is the holiest part of the fire offerings to the LORD."
"When you bring an offering—that is, a grain offering baked in an oven—it is to consist of fine flour baked into unleavened bread mixed with olive oil or of wafers made of unleavened bread and smeared with olive oil.4When you present a grain offering baked in an oven, it must be made of fine flour, either unleavened cakes mixed with oil or unleavened wafers coated with oil.
"If your grain offering has been prepared on a griddle, then it is to consist of fine flour mixed with olive oil. 5If your gift is a grain offering prepared on a griddle, it must be unleavened bread made of fine flour mixed with oil.
Crumble it into morsels of bread and then pour olive oil on it. It's a grain offering.6Break it into pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.
"When your grain offering has been prepared in a stew pan, it is to consist of fine flour mixed with olive oil. 7If your gift is a grain offering prepared in a pan, it must be made of fine flour with oil.
Bring the grain offering that you prepared from these ingredients to the LORD. Present it to the priest, who will bring it to the altar. 8When you bring to the LORD the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he will take it to the altar.
Then the priest will dedicate some of the grain offering as a memorial offering and offer it in smoke on the altar, an offering by fire that will be a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 9The priest will remove the memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
The remainder from the memorial offering is for Aaron and his sons—the holiest of the offerings made by fire to the LORD."10But the rest of the grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons; it is the holiest part of the fire offerings to the LORD."
"Any grain offering that you bring to the LORD is not to be prepared with yeast, because anything with leaven and honey may not be offered in smoke as an offering by fire to the LORD. 11No grain offering that you present to the LORD is to be made with yeast, for you are not to burn any yeast or honey as a fire offering to the LORD.
You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of first fruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar for a pleasing aroma."12You may present them to the LORD as an offering of firstfruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma.
"Also, be sure to rub every offering from your grain offering with salt. You are not ever to remove the salt of the covenant of your God from your grain offering. Present all your offerings with salt."13You are to season each of your grain offerings with salt; you must not omit from your grain offering the salt of the covenant with your God. You are to present salt with each of your offerings."
"Whenever you bring a grain offering of first fruits to the LORD, bring fresh barley roasted in fire, young kernels crushed into bits. Bring the grain offering with your first fruits 14If you present a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, you must present fresh heads of grain, crushed kernels, roasted on the fire, for your grain offering of firstfruits.
and then pour olive oil and frankincense over it as a grain offering. 15You are to put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering.
The priest is to offer the memorial offering in smoke—its crushed bits, olive oil, and frankincense—as an offering by fire to the LORD."16The priest will then burn some of its crushed kernels and oil with all its frankincense as a fire offering to the LORD."
