| 3You withdrew all your wrath and turned away from your burning anger. | 3You held back your fury. You kept back your blazing anger. |
| 4Restore us, God of our salvation, and stop being angry with us. | 4Now restore us again, O God of our salvation. Put aside your anger against us once more. |
| 5Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger from generation to generation? | 5Will you be angry with us always? Will you prolong your wrath to all generations? |
| 6Will you restore our lives again so that your people may rejoice in you? | 6Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you? |
| 7LORD, show your gracious love and deliver us. | 7Show us your unfailing love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation. |
| 8Let me listen to what God, the LORD, says; for the LORD will promise peace to his people, to his holy ones; may they not return to foolishness. | 8I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. |

| 12The LORD will also provide what is good, and our land will yield its produce. | 12Yes, the LORD pours down his blessings. Our land will yield its bountiful harvest. |
| 13Righteousness will go before him to prepare a path for his steps. | 13Righteousness goes as a herald before him, preparing the way for his steps. |
