Psalm 123
KJV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleChristian Standard Bible
1A Song of degrees. Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.1I lift my eyes to you, the one enthroned in heaven.
2Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.2Like a servant's eyes on his master's hand, like a servant girl's eyes on her mistress's hand, so our eyes are on the LORD our God until he shows us favor.
3Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.3Show us favor, LORD, show us favor, for we've had more than enough contempt.
4Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.4We've had more than enough scorn from the arrogant and contempt from the proud.
