Psalm 11
NASB Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995International Standard Version
1For the choir director. A Psalm of David. In the LORD I take refuge; How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain;1I take refuge in the LORD. So how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains."?
2For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.2Look, the wicked have bent their bow and placed their arrow on the string, to shoot from the darkness at the upright in heart.
3If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?"3When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD'S throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.4The LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD's throne is in the heavens. His eyes see, his glance examines humanity.
5The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.5The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence, he hates.
6Upon the wicked He will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.6He rains on the wicked burning coals and sulfur; a scorching wind is their destiny.
7For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His face.7Indeed, the LORD is righteous; he loves righteousness; the upright will see him face-to-face.
