A Psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers. | 1A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. |
How long will you judge unjustly And show partiality to the wicked? Selah. | 2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. |
Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. | 3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. |
Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. | 4Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked. |
They do not know nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are shaken. | 5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. |
I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. | 6I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. |
"Nevertheless you will die like men And fall like any one of the princes." | 7But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. |
Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations. | 8Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations. |
