| 1The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, | 1The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; |
| 2it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God. | 2it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, the majesty of our God. |

| 8And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray. |

| 10and those the LORD has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. | 10And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. |
