| 1A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. | 1A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah. You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. |
| 2So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. | 2I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. |
| 3Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. | 3Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. |
| 4Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. | 4I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. |
| 5My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. | 5I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. |
| 6When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. | 6On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. |

| 11But the king shall rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him shall glory; But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped. | 11But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced. |
