NLT Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNET Bible
How the king rejoices in your strength, O LORD! He shouts with joy because you give him victory.1For the music director; a psalm of David. O LORD, the king rejoices in the strength you give; he takes great delight in the deliverance you provide.
For you have given him his heart’s desire; you have withheld nothing he requested. Interlude2You grant him his heart's desire; you do not refuse his request. (Selah)
You welcomed him back with success and prosperity. You placed a crown of finest gold on his head.3For you bring him rich blessings; you place a golden crown on his head.
He asked you to preserve his life, and you granted his request. The days of his life stretch on forever.4He asked you to sustain his life, and you have granted him long life and an enduring dynasty.
Your victory brings him great honor, and you have clothed him with splendor and majesty.5Your deliverance brings him great honor; you give him majestic splendor.
You have endowed him with eternal blessings and given him the joy of your presence.6For you grant him lasting blessings; you give him great joy by allowing him into your presence.
For the king trusts in the LORD. The unfailing love of the Most High will keep him from stumbling.7For the king trusts in the LORD, and because of the sovereign LORD's faithfulness he is not upended.
You will capture all your enemies. Your strong right hand will seize all who hate you.8You prevail over all your enemies; your power is too great for those who hate you.
You will throw them in a flaming furnace when you appear. The LORD will consume them in his anger; fire will devour them.9You burn them up like a fiery furnace when you appear; the LORD angrily devours them; the fire consumes them.
You will wipe their children from the face of the earth; they will never have descendants.10You destroy their offspring from the earth, their descendants from among the human race.
Although they plot against you, their evil schemes will never succeed.11Yes, they intend to do you harm; they dream up a scheme, but they do not succeed.
For they will turn and run when they see your arrows aimed at them.12For you make them retreat when you shoot your arrows at them.
Rise up, O LORD, in all your power. With music and singing we celebrate your mighty acts.13Rise up, O LORD, in strength! We will sing and praise your power!
