| 2From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, | 2From the most remote place on earth I call out to you in my despair. Lead me up to an inaccessible rocky summit! |
| 3for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. | 3Indeed, you are my shelter, a strong tower that protects me from the enemy. |
| 4Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude | 4I will be a permanent guest in your home; I will find shelter in the protection of your wings. (Selah) |
