John 8:33-39 ▼

33 They responded to Him, “We are seed of Abraham, and to no one ever have we been slaves. How do You say, ‘You? will become free’?”

34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you? that everyone who is doing sin is a slave of sin.

35 Now the slave does not remain in the house to the age; the son remains to the age.

36 Therefore if the Son shall set you? free, you? will be really free.

37 I know that you? are seed of Abraham, but you? seek to kill Me because My word has no place in you?.

38 I speak the things I have seen with the Father; and you?, therefore, the things you? have heard with your father, you? do.”

39 They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus says to them, “If you? were children of Abraham, you? would do the works of Abraham.
