Therefore they called out a second time the man who was blind, and they said to him, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.”

Therefore he answered, “Whether He is a sinner I do not know. One thing I know, that being blind, now I see!”

Therefore they said to him, “What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?”

He answered them, “I told you? already, and you? did not hear. Why do you? want to hear again? Do you? also want to become His disciples?”

And they reviled him and said, “You are a disciple of that One, but we are disciples of Moses.

We know that God has spoken to Moses, but we do not know from where this man is.”

The man answered and said to them, “In this, indeed, is an amazing thing, that you? do not know from where He is, and yet He opened my eyes.

We know that God does not hear sinners, but if anyone may be God-fearing and may do His will, He hears him.

From the age it was not heard that anyone opened the eyes of one having been born blind.

If this man were not from God, He would be able to do nothing.”
