17 And they clothe Him with purple; and, having platted a crown of thorns, they put it on Him. 18 And they began to salute Him, "Hail King of the Jews!" 19 And they were smiting His head with a reed, and kept spitting on Him; and, bowing their knees, they were worshiping Him! 20 And, when they mocked Him, they took from Him the purple, and put on Him His own garments.
