1 And the Pharisees and Sadducees, coming near, tempting Him , asked Him to show them a sign from the heaven; 2 and He, answering, said to them, "When it is evening, ye say, ' It will be fair, for the heaven is red;' 3 and in the morning, 'Today, a tempest; for red is the overcast heaven.' The face of the heaven, indeed, ye know how to discern, but the signs of the times ye can not discern . 4 An evil and adulterous generation is seeking after a sign; and no sign will be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet." And, leaving them, He departed. Matthew 16:1-4, Worrell New Testament. Public domain.
