Apply God's wonders to daily faith?
How can we apply God's promise of wonders to our daily faith journey?

Setting the Scene

Exodus 34:10: “And the LORD said: ‘Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will do wonders never before seen in any nation in all the earth. All the people among whom you live will see the work of the LORD—for it is an awesome thing that I am going to do with you.’”

• God spoke these words after Israel’s failure with the golden calf, underscoring that His covenant fidelity—and His wonders—are not canceled by human weakness.

The Nature of God’s Promise of Wonders

• A covenant context: wonders are tied to relationship, not random displays.

• “Never before seen” points to God’s limitless creativity (Isaiah 43:19).

• Audience included: the nations would witness; our obedience becomes testimony (Matthew 5:16).

• Unchanging character: “For I, the LORD, do not change” (Malachi 3:6). What He promised then still reveals His present intent.

Principles for Daily Application

1. Covenant Alignment

⁃ Prioritize daily obedience; wonders accompany those walking in His ways (John 14:21).

2. Expectant Faith

⁃ Wake up each morning anticipating God’s activity—both spectacular and subtle (Psalm 5:3).

3. Remember and Recount

⁃ Keep a journal of answered prayers & providences. Israel was commanded to remember (Deuteronomy 6:12).

4. Bold Prayer

⁃ Ask big because nothing is too hard (Jeremiah 32:17); God “is able to do immeasurably more” (Ephesians 3:20).

5. Active Witness

⁃ Share fresh stories of God’s work; testimony fuels faith in others (Revelation 12:11).

Walking in Expectation of Divine Wonders

• In ordinary tasks: provision of daily bread, timely encouragement, divine appointments (Philippians 4:19).

• In crisis moments: protection, healing, breakthrough (Psalm 91; James 5:15).

• In kingdom service: gifts of the Spirit empowering ministry (1 Corinthians 12:7–11).

Guardrails for Discernment

• Scripture first: evaluate experiences by the Word (Acts 17:11).

• Jesus-centered: wonders should exalt Christ, not personalities (Colossians 1:18).

• Humble gratitude: respond with worship rather than entitlement (Luke 17:15-18).

Encouragement for the Journey

• The God who split the sea still moves mountains of fear, lack, and impossibility today (Mark 11:22-24).

• Hold Exodus 34:10 as a personal anchor: God delights to astonish His people so the watching world sees His glory.

• Stay surrendered, stay expectant, and watch for the “awesome thing” He is going to do with you.
