How can we use resources for God today?
In what ways can we dedicate our resources to God's purposes today?

Learning from Exodus 38:30

“With it he made the bases for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar and its bronze grating, and all the utensils for the altar.”

The donated bronze became vital structures and tools for worship. Nothing was wasted; everything given was reshaped for God’s glory. That same pattern guides how we dedicate what we have today.

Identifying Our Modern “Bronze”

Take stock of the varied resources God places in our hands:

• Finances and material assets

• Time and schedules

• Skills, education, and talents

• Relationships and networks

• Homes, vehicles, and other possessions

• Digital platforms and social influence

Concrete Ways to Devote These Resources

Finances

• First-fruits giving to your local church (Proverbs 3:9-10)

• Supporting missionaries and church planters (Philippians 4:15-17)

• Funding mercy ministries: food banks, crisis-pregnancy centers, addiction recovery (James 1:27)

Time

• Setting apart regular Sabbath rest and worship (Exodus 20:8-11)

• Consistent volunteering in children’s ministry, music, teaching, or hospitality

• Scheduling daily Scripture reading and prayer before other obligations (Psalm 5:3)

Talents & Skills

• Using professional abilities—accounting, carpentry, tech, counseling—for church projects

• Offering musical or artistic gifts in congregational worship (Psalm 33:3)

• Mentoring younger believers in vocational and spiritual growth (2 Timothy 2:2)

Relationships

• Opening your table for fellowship and discipleship (Acts 2:46)

• Intentionally sharing the gospel with coworkers and neighbors (Matthew 28:19–20)

Possessions

• Hosting small groups in your home (Romans 12:13)

• Loaning vehicles or tools to those in need (Luke 3:11)

• Providing temporary housing for missionaries on furlough

Digital Presence

• Spreading biblical truth on social media (Colossians 4:5-6)

• Supporting online Bible translation and teaching platforms

• Encouraging believers worldwide through podcasts, blogs, or livestreams

The Heart Attitude That Honors God

• Cheerful generosity—“God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)

• Faith-filled stewardship, trusting God to multiply what’s offered (Luke 9:16-17)

• Humble secrecy when possible, seeking heavenly reward over human applause (Matthew 6:3-4)

A Ripple Effect for the Kingdom

When Israel’s bronze became altar bases, generations encountered God there. Likewise, our dedicated resources create spaces—physical, relational, digital—where people meet Christ. The Lord still reshapes ordinary offerings into holy instruments, and He invites each of us to place our “bronze” in His skilled hands today.
