In what ways can you help others experience God's healing and restoration? Isaiah 35:5 – The Heart of the Promise “Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.” Recognizing Our Part in God’s Work The verse proclaims what God Himself will do: open blind eyes, unstop deaf ears. Yet throughout Scripture He repeatedly invites His people to participate in that restoration. We become willing vessels through which He continues this work in Christ (John 14:12). Five Ways to Help Others Experience Healing and Restoration • Speak the Word with confidence – Share promises of healing (Psalm 103:2-3; 1 Peter 2:24). – Read or quote Scripture aloud when ministering to someone; the Word “will not return void” (Isaiah 55:11). • Pray in faith and anoint with oil – “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call the elders…” (James 5:14-15). – Simple, believing prayer places the situation in God’s hands and releases His power. • Lay hands on the hurting – Jesus modeled touch (Mark 1:41); the Great Commission includes laying hands on the sick (Mark 16:18). – A gentle, respectful touch conveys compassion and expectancy. • Encourage with personal testimony – Share how God healed or restored you (Revelation 12:11). – Real stories ignite hope that He will do it again. • Walk alongside in practical support – Help with meals, transportation, childcare, or medical visits (Galatians 6:2). – Consistent presence demonstrates Christ’s love and keeps faith stirred. Living It Out Daily • Start your morning asking the Lord to place someone on your heart who needs healing or encouragement. • Keep a short list of healing scriptures on your phone; text one when the Spirit prompts. • When you hear a need, offer to pray right then—don’t postpone. • Celebrate every improvement, no matter how small, giving God glory and strengthening faith.
