How do you see God's grace today?
In what ways can you recognize God's grace in your life today?

Paul’s thankful testimony of grace

“I always thank my God for you because of the grace He has given you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Corinthians 1:4)

Paul opens his letter by looking at the believers and immediately seeing God’s undeserved favor at work. The same grace that energized a troubled church in Corinth is alive in every follower of Christ today.

Where grace shows up in ordinary moments

• New mercies every morning – Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us His compassions “are new every morning.” Waking up with breath in your lungs is evidence that grace hasn’t run dry.

• The pull toward holiness – Titus 2:11-12 says grace “trains us to renounce ungodliness.” When you sense conviction over sin or a fresh desire to obey, that inner nudge is grace tutoring your heart.

• Strength for weakness – 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you.” Unexpected endurance in hardship, peace that makes no sense, or the ability to forgive are gifts of supernatural empowerment.

• Spiritual gifts in action – 1 Peter 4:10 calls every gift a “varied grace of God.” Whenever you serve, teach, give, encourage, or show mercy, you are tasting and distributing grace.

• Fellowship with believers – Acts 4:33: “great grace was upon them all.” Christian community, mutual encouragement, and shared worship are living proofs of grace weaving lives together.

• Access to prayer – Hebrews 4:16: “approach the throne of grace with confidence.” Each time you speak to the Father in Jesus’ name, you are standing in a stream of grace that never shuts off.

• Scripture opening up – Acts 20:32 calls God’s Word “the word of His grace.” When a verse leaps off the page or brings comfort, grace is illuminating eternal truth for your soul.

• Hope beyond failure – Romans 5:20: “where sin increased, grace increased all the more.” Past mistakes do not define you because grace abounds beyond your worst moments.

• Provision for daily needs – 2 Corinthians 9:8: “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that… you will abound in every good work.” Meals on the table, a job to work, or unexpected help are tangible tokens of His kind provision.

Cultivating awareness of grace

• Keep a gratitude journal: jot down specific ways God’s favor showed up each day.

• Meditate on gospel truths: rehearse Ephesians 2:8-9 and Romans 8:32 until the heart brims with wonder.

• Speak grace to others: share testimonies of how God met you; it multiplies joy and sharpens vision.

• Refuse self-reliance: confess need quickly, lean on the Spirit, and watch grace rush in where strength ends.

Living out a grace-saturated day

Grace saves, sustains, equips, and carries you. Like Paul, you can open your eyes to the people, situations, and inner transformations around you and say, “I always thank my God… for the grace He has given.” Gratitude becomes natural when you learn to trace every good thing back to the nail-scarred hands that freely give it.
