How does sharing God's works boost faith?
How can sharing God's works strengthen our faith and the faith of others?

Setting the Scene

Nebuchadnezzar, the most powerful ruler of his day, had just experienced God’s humbling discipline and miraculous restoration. Immediately, he announced:

“ It is my pleasure to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me.” (Daniel 4:2)

His instinct was to tell others. That impulse is a pattern God weaves through all of Scripture: when He acts, His people speak.

The Power of Testimony

• A “sign” points to God’s reality; a “wonder” stirs holy awe. When we recount them, we echo what Nebuchadnezzar did—publicly acknowledging God’s fingerprints on our lives.

• Testimony is never mere storytelling. Each retelling re-anchors our memories in truth and reinforces the faith of every listener.

Why Sharing God’s Works Builds Our Own Faith

• Remembrance fuels confidence. Psalm 77:11—“I will remember the works of the LORD; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.” Rehearsing God’s acts keeps doubt from erasing them.

• Spoken truth combats the enemy’s lies. Revelation 12:11—“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Vocal remembrance becomes spiritual warfare.

• Gratitude multiplies joy. Luke 17:15–19 shows the one healed leper who returned to give thanks; his public praise brought fuller blessing.

How Testimony Strengthens Others

• It offers living proof that Scripture is true today, not just historically. Acts 4:20—“For we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

• It transfers courage. Hearing another believer’s deliverance helps someone trust God in similar trials (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

• It passes faith from one generation to the next. Psalm 78:4—“We will not hide them from their children; we will declare to the next generation the praises of the LORD.”

Practical Ways to Share

1. Start conversations naturally: “Can I tell you what God did for me this week?”

2. Write brief testimonies on social media—focus on God, not self.

3. Incorporate God-stories at family meals; let children hear them often.

4. Testify in small groups or church gatherings, keeping Christ central.

5. Record personal “Ebenezers” in a journal so future retelling is easy.

Scriptural Snapshots to Keep Handy

Psalm 71:15-16—“My mouth will declare Your righteousness, Your salvation all day long.”

1 Chronicles 16:8—“Give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the nations.”

Luke 8:39—“Return home and describe what God has done for you.”

Acts 1:8—“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses…”

Living Out Daniel 4:2 Today

Every time God answers prayer, provides, heals, or corrects, we hold a fresh “sign and wonder.” Like Nebuchadnezzar, let it be our pleasure—not duty—to declare it. As we speak, faith takes deeper root in us and sprouts fresh hope in everyone who hears.

In what ways can we recognize God's work in our daily experiences?
