How to boost faith in God's help?
What steps can we take to strengthen our faith in God's deliverance?

Set the Scene with God’s Word

“The people are strong and tall, the descendants of the Anakim. You know about them, and you have heard it said, ‘Who can stand up against the sons of Anak?’ ” (Deuteronomy 9:2)

Remember Who Leads the Battle

• The giants were real, yet God’s presence led Israel in literally tangible ways (Deuteronomy 9:3; Exodus 13:21).

• Fix your mind on the Lord as the One who “goes before you” (Deuteronomy 1:30) instead of the size of the obstacles.

• Daily declaration: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).

Review God’s Track Record

• Trace previous rescues—Egypt (Exodus 14), Jericho’s walls (Joshua 6).

• Keep a written journal of personal deliverances; revisit it when doubt whispers, “Who can stand up against…?”

Psalm 77:11–12—“I will remember the deeds of the LORD… and meditate on all Your works.”

Rehearse His Promises

• Speak them aloud:

Deuteronomy 31:8—“The LORD Himself goes before you… do not be afraid.”

Isaiah 41:10—“Do not fear, for I am with you.”

• Replace every fearful thought with a corresponding promise; make it a habit until faith becomes instinctive.

Reject Fear Immediately

• Fear tolerated soon dominates; confront it with truth (2 Timothy 1:7).

• When anxiety rises, pray Psalm 56:3–4: “When I am afraid, I will trust in You.”

• Guard inputs—limit voices that magnify giants and amplify voices that magnify God (Philippians 4:8).

Respond with Obedient Action

• Israel still had to march into Canaan; faith matures through motion (Joshua 1:9).

• List practical steps God is asking today—make the call, offer forgiveness, apply for the job, share the gospel.

James 2:17—faith without follow-through is lifeless; every act of obedience deepens confidence in His deliverance.

Remain in Worship and Gratitude

• Worship shifts perspective from giants to the Giant-Slayer (Psalm 34:1–4).

• Thankfulness cements victories—record answers to prayer, celebrate them publicly (Luke 17:15–18).

• Continuous gratitude keeps the heart supple, ready for the next deliverance.

Follow these steps and watch how every new challenge simply becomes another stage for God to display His unfailing power.

How can we apply God's promise of victory over giants in our lives?
