How to deepen faith for God's power?
How can we strengthen our faith to experience God's power in our lives?

Setting the Scene: A Life-Changing Moment

“Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Take courage, daughter,’ He said, ‘your faith has healed you.’ And the woman was healed from that very hour.” (Matthew 9:22)

The woman’s faith connected her directly to Christ’s power. Her touch was small—His response was mighty. The same pattern holds for us today.

What Jesus Noticed

• He “turned and saw her”—faith is never anonymous to Him.

• He called her “daughter”—faith brings family intimacy.

• He credited her faith, not the touch, as the channel of healing.

• He acted “that very hour”—faith invites immediate divine involvement.

Why Strengthening Faith Matters

Hebrews 11:6 reminds us: “Without faith it is impossible to please God…” Faith is both God’s requirement and our lifeline to His power.

Five Pathways to Stronger Faith

1. Immerse in His Word

Romans 10:17: “So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”

• Daily reading, memorization, and meditation shape our thoughts to trust His promises.

2. Pray with Expectation

James 1:6 urges us to ask “in faith, without doubting.”

• Faith-filled prayer shifts focus from problems to God’s ability.

3. Act on What You Believe

• The woman moved through the crowd; obedience often precedes breakthrough.

John 15:7 links abiding and asking—living aligned with His words fuels confident petitions.

4. Testify to His Goodness

Psalm 34:8 invites us to “taste and see.” Sharing answered prayer strengthens our own hearts and others’.

5. Confront Unbelief Honestly

Mark 9:24: “I do believe; help my unbelief!” Bring doubts to Jesus; He meets honesty with help.

Practical Daily Moves

• Start each morning with a promise of God—write it, speak it, pray it.

• Keep a journal of God’s interventions; review it when discouragement strikes.

• Fast periodically to recalibrate dependence on Him.

• Serve someone in need; stepping out in love stretches spiritual muscles.

Encouraging Promises to Anchor You

Ephesians 3:20: He “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”

Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace the steadfast mind, because he trusts in You.”

2 Chronicles 16:9: “For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him.”

Faith that reaches for Jesus still draws His power. Strengthen it through Word, prayer, action, testimony, and honest surrender—and watch Him turn, see, and answer in your life today.
